Matar Dal Bori is sundried lentil drops made out of Matar Dal paste through handmade skilled operation and sun-dried thereafter. From the refined pallet of the zamindars, the Posto Bori has found its place in quality Bengali cooking. The Posto Bori is made from Kalai/ Buli/Urad dal mixed with Posto or Poppy Seeds and makes for a light but tasty appetizer. All the Bori can be had simply by frying the Bori and having it as a crunchy side dish or by putting it into any dish like Shukto, Shak Ghonto, Vegetable curry ,Fish curry or just Bori potato curry. Posto Bori with Ghee Bhat is a delicious combination.
